Genworth Financial Appoints Alexander Hoffmann as General Manager for Lifestyle Protection Business in Germany

Neu-Isenburg (1 October 2008) - Genworth Financial, Inc. a leading financial security company, has appointed Alexander Hoffmann as General Manager for its Lifestyle Protection business in Germany.

“Alexander brings a strong track record of commercial leadership”, said Ian Baker, regional manager for Central Europe at Genworth’s Lifestyle Protection business. “His focus will be on growth and developing our key relationships in this important market”.

Genworth’s Lifestyle Protection business has been present in Germany for more than 12 years and working in partnership with banks, brokers, advisers and other financial institutions. The business was recently renamed Lifestyle Protection (having previously been known as Payment Protection Insurance) to reflect the wide range of products offered – which include payment protection insurance, Guaranteed Asset Protection (“GAP”) and various other products that provide financial security for consumers.

Originally from Karlsruhe, Hoffmann is a graduate in Business Economics . He joins Genworth from HBOS-efs where, as Head of Sales, he led a strategic restructure of the Key Account Management function. He has also held a number of senior roles with leading financial institutions including Standard Life, AIG, cash.life and HBOS over the last 20 years. .

He is married with two children and his interests include literature, golf and other sports; as well as being a passionate chef.
